About Troop 761
History
Is a chartered member of the Boy Scouts of America (BSA) National Capital Area Council (NCAC) in the Goose Creek District. The Scouts and Members of Troop 761 have been proudly serving the Northern Virginia Region since the Troop's inception in 1996. Please take a few minutes and explore this site and learn more about our Troop.
Program
We believe the scouts are the best ones to decide program. On a yearly basis, the patrol leader council formulates an agenda for the year. Each scout in a leadership position is mentored and sets goals for their position. To see what the 2022-2023 year looks like, come check it out here.
We support the Order of the Arrow, Team America Rocket Challenge, Community Service, and High Adventure programs. We also focus on two aspects of campouts, low-impact and high-impact which allows Troop 761 to provide challenges for younger and older scouts to keep them heavily engaged in the program.
